Synthetic Shield

If the player also has Heart Synthesizer or Armor Synthesizer , grants a familiar that orbits the player and blocks shots. If all three synthesizers are picked up, grants three familiars. The familiar follows the player with almost no delay and represents the synthesizer the player does not currently have (i.e. if the player has Ammo Synthesizer and Heart Synthesizer , it will appear to be a piece of Armor).
