• Contrail - If the player has [외계 엔진] , its flame will turn green, igniting enemies with permanent green fire . [외계 엔진] also grants flight while held.
• Neo Tech, Yo - If the player has [바이오닉 레그] or [전격탄] , Mutation's beam turns blue, leaves puddles of electrified water, and its ammo capacity is increased to 800. The player is immune to electricity while Mutation is held.
• Venom Veins - If the player has [몬스터 혈액] , [핏빛 눈알] , [블러디 9mm] , [피묻은 목도리] , or [핏빛 브로치] , Mutation poisons enemies.
• Mutation is not a proper goop -spraying weapon, unlike the [메가 도저] , the [플런저] , or the [화석 총] . Unlike those three, Mutation's "stream" loses all momentum and immediately ends when you release the trigger.

• The synergy between the Mutation and [바이오닉 레그] / [전격탄] may be a reference to Tetsuo from the 1982 manga series Akira . Tetsuo similarly possesses a bionic arm, and famously undergoes extreme and disturbing mutations. The synergy's name, "Neo Tech, Yo" also seems to allude to Neotokyo, the setting where the story takes place.
• "Didn't Need Two Anyway" refers to the look of the weapon in-game, which envelops the player's whole arm. This visual effect is also shared with [로봇의 오른손] , [로봇의 왼손] , [헤로인] , [화염의 손길] and [메가핸드] .
