- This item is obtained in a secret room in the Halls of Knowledge . To find it, go to the room on the left of the first room after Manuel leaves the player. Using a blank will open the secret room where the [Elmo do Velho Cavaleiro] and the Old Knight's Shield can be found. Talking to Ser Manuel with [Elmo do Velho Cavaleiro] and Old Knight's Shield after defeating him unlocks the Blockner fight.
- After unlocking it, Old Knight's Shield can occasionally be found for sale from the Blacksmith at a item's price.
