If the player has almost any familiar (including [Ser Junkan] , [オオカミ] , [ターキー] , [ピエロの仮面] , [トリのオカリナ] , [ベビーミミック] , [ベビーシェルトン] , [ブタ] , [R2G2] , [スーパースペースタートル] , [ブランクリング] , or [バッジ] ), the familiar will have the AoE effect while reloading. While [忠犬] and [タートルトラブル] will not activate this synergy, they will gain the AoE effect if another familiar activates it.

In co-op, the last shot of each magazine heals the other player for half a heart if shot at them. This shot costs 1 ammo when fired, and an additional 24 when the heal occurs.
The AoE effect only lasts as long as the weapon's reload time. This means that any item that increases reload speed (such as [銀河武功勲章] ) nerfs the AoE effect by ending it early. This also applies to Cog of Battle , in which case the effect is also canceled early by the active reload, making it often favorable to not use the active reload to prolong the AoE effect.
