Hypertachyon

TechnoblablaAutomatique

Notes

  • Bullets from The Fat Line will start at the farthest wall in the direction the player is aiming and will travel through walls to reach the player.
  • If the player moves while firing, the bullets will travel to where the player was at the time they were fired.
  • Bullets don't all appear directly in front of the player, but instead are spread across the wall, with the spread increasing with distance.
  • Bullets don't reveal secret rooms.
  • This gun has a unique interaction with [Arme inversée] , firing another stream of bullets from the wall behind the player.
  • [Balles orbitales] do not affect most shots fired from The Fat Line, as the bullets will usually either return to the player or disappear upon reaching where the player was. If the shots do hit the edge of the room or an interactive wall (such as those in the Treadnaught 's Room) they will orbit normally.

Anecdotes

  • Unused: - With the [Fusil Combiné HL] , if an enemy is killed by the [Fusil Combiné HL] 's energy ball, any bullets that the enemy had fired will slow down significantly. Additionally, the energy ball will release a burst of The Fat Line's shots upon dissipating.
  • Unused: - If the player has [Montre super chaude] , it causes an unknown effect.
  • This gun appeared in earlier press versions of the Advanced Gungeons & Draguns Update but was cut for the full release; with the release of A Farewell to Arms , it is officially back in the game proper. In the Advanced Gungeons & Draguns update, there was a glitch where the gun could appear during a blessed run, even though it was not yet released.
  • Unused - If the player had [Balles obèses] , Max ammo capacity would double.
  • Formerly known as the Tachyon Gun, with the pickup quote "Time Traveller's Gun".
  • The name of the Fat Line is in reference to the Dan Simmons novel 'Hyperion'. In the novel, a cross universe communication network known as 'The Fat Line' is described as functioning via Tachyons.
  • The description that Tachyons travel faster than light and backwards in time is possibly a reference to special relativity, where time dilation suggests that should an object ever travel at speeds faster than the speed of light, it will experience time traveling backwards. Though the current theory of relativity also states that traveling at greater than the speed of light is impossible, so this is highly speculative.
